AirFlow removes 100% of tartar/calculus, dental plaque, and teeth stains from smoking, coffee and wine. Dental cleaning is done by polishing the teeth´s surface using pressured water and powder. The procedure is painless and there is no discomfort afterwards.
AirFlow contains a special powder that contains chlorhexidine. Chlorhexidine acts under the gums making them unswell in case gingivitis (bleeding of the gums) is present. Once the dental cleaning is complete, the chlorhexidine from the powder will act up to 7 days afterwards allowing the gums to heal completely. There are two types of dental powders used in AirFlow: first one is a fine powder with baking soda particles that help remove persistent stains on the tooth’s surface, second one is an ultra-fine powder with xylitol that helps polish the tooth{s surface and give it a smooth texture.
A cleaning with AirFlow lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Before the cleaning starts, the practitioner will place a special ink on the teeth that will reveal all of the old and new dental plaque and calculus. The cleaning with AirFlow will be done using pressured water and powder to remove all of the tinted plaque and calculus. There won’t be sharp and abrasive tools nor polishing pastes and brushes.
