For this dental treatment, the patient attended our office to improve her smile.
The treatment plan consisted of undergoing 5 months of orthodontic treatment (braces). This to align and bring back functionality in her bite.
Once the orthodontic treatment was completed, we reshaped her gumline from canine to canine in order to obtain the maximum length of healthy tooth structure. This procedure is completely painless and the healing period is just a few days.
Lastly, we prepare the teeth on their front surfaces only (bottom and upper) so we could place a porcelain (e-max) veneer on each tooth.
After two failed orthodontic treatments, this patient came into our office seeking an alternative to improve his smile.
We took impressions of his teeth to elaborate a wax-up model. This allows us to plan and improve dental spacings.
We did a mock-up of this wax model into the patient’s mouth. The mock-up allows the patient to see a prototype of his new smile in just 2 minutes.
The mock-up showed that in order to correct the patient’s problem was to place 8 veneers in total (4 upper and 4 lower).
We elaborated the veneers with Empress because of the patient´s case.
